The Rau Paenga infrastructure agency is managing the hasty erection of 44 new classrooms at nine Auckland schools after the education minister clamped down on her own ministry's building projects.
Erica Stanford paused 20 school building projects and has asked for 352 more to be reviewed, because of ballooning repair costs.
